[Fitz has been primarily occupying himself with his work. There's a new prison, new inmates, and so much to pick through. Then there was the incident with that dungeon and the sharing of memories, and he wasn't entirely sure which one he even was for a while. It's taken this long for things to calm down enough to get back to work, when the messages start coming in.
It's such a strange mix of endearing and emasculating that at first he's not sure how to take it. He chooses to opt for the benefit of the doubt and be endeared.]

[That's the end result of a string of connections. If she's "gone home" the way they'd euphemized in their previous setting, then she was able to be pulled back into her world before being shot back here. It wouldn't be able to happen if this was a legitimate Hell. They'd all be too dead to keep having home lives. This is incredible news. ]
