[ If only because it still felt like a stake was digging into her chest. Nearly meeting the sun, losing Hoyt again, and getting burned by Jason all in the span of a few days was not something she was ready to go into. Ever. ]
[If it was something good, she'd be trying to rub it in his face. He doesn't need her tone to tell what she's projecting everywhere. If there's one thing about Jessica Hamby, she isn't subtle.]
[ She considers leaving it there, but then rolls her eyes. He'd probably flail around the hotel, banging on every door, yelling about dead demons. That might get him punched. He'd deserve it, but she wouldn't want to risk being unable to have a front row seat to witness it. ]
......In my room
Where the fuck else would I be? The library's shit and there's a demon at the bar who hates me :|
She's about to leave it at that, but suddenly, she's filled with dread. Fitz wouldn't ask where she was for no reason. As she's been saying, he's a science guy, always pursuing answers and being a persistent, nosy jerk.
[By now, she should know better than to expect he wouldn't take her literally. This isn't new, Jessica. He was just as literal when he had her strapped to a lab table. And so it isn't long before he's inviting himself into her space, careful and very obviously expecting to find something violent.
He's carrying a gun, in case he's walking into a hostage situation.]
[ Old Jessica would probably have been far more dramatic at the over-the-top madness that comes through her door. She'd probably yell about the gun, flail around and cause a scene. But after some of the shit she'd had to experience during her year back in Bon Temps...all she does is hold her forehead and sigh.
After a roll of her eyes, her head thumps back into her pillows so she can stare up at the ceiling and wonder what she'd done to deserve this. ]
Go on and have your look around. Maybe you'll find some imaginary blood stains.
[ She had the mind to hide all her tear-soaked tissues, at least. Who knows what he'd have thought if he saw those. ]
[ She looks absolutely exasperated. Was the police-level search really necessary? It's not like she murdered anyone! ]
I told you. I didn't do anything. [ "For once" would fit nicely at the end of that sentence. ] That'd probably have required me to leave my room. Which I haven't.
[ With a grumble, she gets out of bed and starts straightening up, shooting him dirty looks every now and then. ]
[ Her arms cross and her jaw tightens. ] Kinda funny you think I'd kill without thinkin' like that.
[ It's not long before her expression softens. He has good reason to think that. If he knew some of what she'd done back home, even more so. It's hard to look at him or maintain her annoyance. ]
[ Jessica sighs quietly. She can sense he's being gentle with her. It's simultaneously comforting and frustrating. Someone treating her nicely is a welcome change, but she still can't stop seeing hidden evil in all of his words and actions, no matter how kind.
She shifts uncomfortably, fiddling with some toiletries to have an excuse not to look at him. ]
I'm okay enough. [ There's a silence, then: ] You really oughta worry about yourself more than me. I'm a big girl, Fitz.

Just go do science stuff or whatever it is you do when you're alone in your room
Probably jerk it to pictures of Einstein or something
[ She's not hurting, you are!!! ]

[Because it sounds like she shouldn't be.]

Besides the dead demons on the floor
[ She might be joking. Might. ]

[ Maybe it was a good thing to contact him after all. Riling him up always made her feel better. ]
It's healthy and good for the environment

The bar demon is unconnected to the dead one, yes?

Hey! Don't come to my room!
LEAVE ME ALONE

You're going to need help getting rid of it.
